A UK based, global retailer has a fantastic Assistant Store Manager opportunity within their Oxford store. A fashion forward clothing range with a quirky spin on design, this premium brand prides themselves on the quality of their womenswear, menswear and accessory ranges and offers excellent progression possibilities for those who are driven and keen to succeed within a retail management career.


Our client is looking for a confident, energetic, passionate and highly commercial individual with a fashion retail background, to assist with the running of the store and to drive the team forward.


This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves the busy, vibrant retail atmosphere, will be motivated in amongst the exciting and ever developing city of Oxford, has experience at a supervisory / assistant manager level and is a dedicated fashion lover, eager to progress within the sector.


Key responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager:
•Communicate and exceed targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
•Assist the Store Manager to drive profit and control loss
•Implement commercial actions through effective merchandising and layout planning
•Ensure store standards are kept at their highest and in keeping with brand guidelines
•Delegating to and supervising of team to ensure productive completion of duties
•Regularly support with the coaching and training of staff
•Lead by example and deliver exception customer service
•Assist during stock takes and implementation of stock control procedures.
•Maintain effective communication with your Store Manager to maintain the smooth running of the store.
•Undertake additional operational and commercial duties in Store Managers absence
•Keyholder duties, including reconciliation and banking of daily takings
•Be an ambassador of the brand at all times


Requirements of the Assistant Store Manager:
•Sales and target driven
•Calm yet vibrant, confident personality, with the energy and passion to inspire colleagues and customers
•Able to work independently and make commercial decisions
•Experience of working within a fast environment
•Team player, motivating the team to achieve their best at all times
•Hold a full understanding of KPI’s
•Highly organised and able to work well under pressure
•Excellent communicator
•Fully flexible, working 40 hours across 5 out of 7 days, including Bank Holidays
•Confident in solving problems and dealing with difficult situations
