A rare and fantastic opportunity has arisen within a family run business as a Front of House Assistant. My client is looking for an enthusiastic team player to work full time hours, within a unique hospitality environment on the outskirts of Banbury, where providing exceptional service to all guests is a necessity. Situated in a beautiful village location, the successful applicant will be required to work as part of a small team, reporting to / supporting the Cafι Manager and representing the business in a professional, pro-active manner.

The duties required for this Front of House position will be:
• Serving food, such as light bites and afternoon tea, to guests
• Utilising barista skills to make and serve coffees / tea
• Working as part of the team to ensure guests are served in a friendly and timely fashion
• Upholding housekeeping / hygiene standards in all communal areas
• Processing transactions through the till system, processing payments quickly and accurately
• Deliver exception customer service, with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude
• Liaising with kitchen staff in a professional and efficient manner
• Assist in replenishment of goods
• Developing detailed product knowledge to enhance the service and information provided to the customer
• Support during occasional events

The attributes required of the desired candidate are:
• A natural flair and enthusiasm for hospitality
• Have a hands on approach to work, with a pro-active and ‘can do’ attitude
• Demonstrate a warm, smiley and friendly demeanour
• Providing a calm, polite and attentive service
• A willingness to approach and interact, speaking with confidence and assurance to all guests
• Show ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Must be a team player, who will use initiative when required
• Ideally barista trained and have experience of working within a similar role

The role will require the completion of 40 hours over 5 days out of 7, including a Saturday.
