IT Support Technician

Banbury (Moving to Bicester 2019)
£20,000 - £25,000 - Permanent Position

An exciting brand new role has been created for an experienced IT Support Technician to join an innovative healthcare organisation. Initially based in Banbury but relocating to Bicester in the New Year 2019. This role will primarily be based in Bicester but some travel will be required to other offices within the Oxfordshire region.

A generous salary of between £20,000 to £25,000 dependent on experience. 9.00 to 5.00 Monday to Friday. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Benefits include Life Insurance and Pension.

Duties:

• Keeping the company's IT system, computers and phones running, minimising downtime
• Ensuring all systems are fully backed up so that in the event of system failure data can be recovered
• Maintain security controls to guard company information, protect its information assets and to provide warning of potential security vulnerabilities and security breaches
• Updating and implementing IT policies and procedures to safeguard company's IT system
• Consulting with other employees and identifying technology problems to then propose or collaborate on solutions
• Raise information, bug and feature request to the senior management and or external IT provider
• Providing information systems technical support for routine employee’s issues across all locations
• Updating company intranet website content
• Adding and removing new starters and leavers, assigning/updating folder permissions
• Responding to tech changes and implementing new solutions within the company
• First line support and training on company systems including set up for meeting and training events
• Data extraction, analysis and reporting

Requirements

• IT related degree
• A thorough knowledge of Windows, Hardware and Software
• Knowledge of multimedia technologies
• Thorough understanding of security risks and mitigation
• Able to translate the complex technology language to employees so excellent communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, Excel, Word etc
• General knowledge and understanding of software packages
• Good communication and people skills
• Can do attitude and flexible approach
• Must be able to drive and have own transport
