My client, a family run, well-established and constantly developing business are looking for an Assistant Depot Manager to join them. Our client is looking for a confident and proactive individual with a solid background in the building trade, although my client is open to receiving applications from candidates that have experience at a supervisory / assistant manager level from other divisions relating to Building and construction.

This is an exciting yet progressive opportunity for a conscientious, driven and self-motivated individual who would fit into this fabulous company in Banbury. Your role as Assistant Depot Manager will be to support the store, drive the sales and contribute to business growth throughout all you do.

You will report to the Branch Manager and will be an intricate part to the operational side of the business. For the right candidate this role has the potential for great career development as the company expands. This is a varied role and will require a hands on approach however you must be able to communicate with people on all levels as this will be a pivotal part of your role.

Key responsibilities as an Assistant Depot Manager will include:
• Communicate and exceed targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Delegating to and supervising of team to ensure productive completion of duties
• Lead by example and deliver exception customer service
• Assist during stock takes and implementation of stock control procedures.
• Liaising with all management, sales reps, customers and suppliers
• Organise bookings/ Returns of company equipment and products
• Maintaining accurate up to date records of stock
• Maintain your own trade accounts
• Dealing with sales enquiries both telephone and counter
• Assist with loading and unloading company/ customer vehicles
• Competent level of computer skills are a necessity
• Undertake additional operational and commercial duties in Branch Managers absence
• Due to the nature of the business you must be able to drive.

Hours of work are from 7:30am- 4.30pm Monday to Friday with a half an hour lunch break and you will be asked to work every other Saturday on a rota system from 8.30-12pm. You will also receive regular product and demo training, 21.5 days holiday + Bank holidays, 3% pension contribution and for your efforts and exceeding targets you will receive a bonus on a structured basis throughout the year.
