A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a long established local business within their Service Engineering Department. This family run business are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their growing team. Ideally, the right candidate will have experience as a Service Engineer in a similar field or have electrical knowledge and proven skillset from a maintenance background.
The company itself has links to the pharmaceutical, food and health care markets. My client is looking for a professional supportive and customer focused individual to be accountable for sustaining the companys manufacturing equipment and facilities on and off site. As part of the Service Team, you will have the responsibility for building and assembling all of the companys own equipment and regularly servicing, repair and calibrating items.
Your key responsibilities, as a Service Engineer will include but not be limited to:
All fault finding and subsequent servicing;
Assist with general site maintenance and any emergency repairs, including PAT testing;
Pre-Delivery Inspection checks for planned preventative maintenance of company equipment and facilities;
Customer on site installation work;
Preparation of test material from production plans;
Interpretation of test results and precise completion of all documentation;
Build/ test of own equipment;
Observation of and adherence to all health and safety procedures; and
Any other tasks/responsibilities may be added as required.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Qualifications ideally within Electrical/ Mechanical to a BTEC ONC or City & Guilds qualification;
You must be able to demonstrate a sound basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, with a proven career history;
Clean Driving Licence as you will be required to travel on-site to customer facilities;
Some experience with facility maintenance would be advantageous including PAT testing, PPM and systems checks;
Must have a flexible approach to working. Our client asks that you be willing to work overtime when required and be away from home for short periods;
Have a methodical, right first-time approach, with a keen eye for detail; and
Must be able to show a good level of communication skills, with basic numeracy skills, showing ability to handle fractions and decimal equations.
Should you be successful for this role you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working core hours between 8.00am 16.00pm Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate peak times within the business.
