Due to expansion a local UK market leader is looking for an experienced and reliable Accounts Assistant to join them and become a valuable member of a small and valued team. Reporting to the head of finance you will have had all round accounts experience with a strong working knowledge of Sage 50. A salary of up to £27,000 dependent on experience. Working from 9.00 to 5.00 with 1 hour for lunch. 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Pension after 3 months probation. Free on-site parking. Beautiful rural office location. Key-worker status. High volume processing of Accounts Payable
Credit control general sales ledger
Credit card processing
General purchase ledger and accounts receivable queries
Balance sheet reconciliations
Accruals and Prepayments
Accounts up to trial balance
Other ad hoc duties
Working knowledge of Sage 50 is essential
Good MS office skills in particular Excel, Word and Outlook
Good command of the English language both verbal and written
Enthusiastic and reliable
Must have sales and purchase ledger experience
Comfortable working in a transactional focused finance role
Experience of working in an SME environment with a proven track record of both payable and receivable and preparing accounts up to trial balance
Excellent attention to detail, proactive and methodical approach to tasks
Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines, determine priorities and organise work to meet objectives and identify and deal with problems with the minimum of supervision;
A desire to progress
Confident to liaise with internal and external stakeholders There will be a requirement to work closely with your peers, supporting each other and provide timely and accurate information to the Head of Finance as required, and provide cover for each other when required.
Own transport is essential for this role due to the rural location
