Class 2 Driver

11-13ph DOE - Permanent Position

A local and family run business that are renowned for their exceptional and specialised service are looking for a likeminded Class 2 Driver to join their esteemed company.

It is vital that you will be able to adapt and fit into this close team. You must have the ability to lead by example and feel comfortable working to varying time constraints and deadline changes.

You are required to be physically fit, as part of your role will include the handballing of goods from your vehicle to a secondary destination. It would be advantageous that you will have experience of working within the removals industry or similar also.

To be considered for this role you must fulfill the following requirements:

Possess a Full UK Class 2 HGV license
A valid CPC certificate
A Digi Tachograph
A degree of physical fitness as you will be required to unload goods
You will have a good knowledge of the local area and Mainland UK
Have a "can do" and flexible attitude to all aspects of your working day
Current Passport

Good level of customer service and professionalism
Good written and spoken English

Your main duties will include;

Adhere to and uphold all health and safety procedures

Ensure good customer relations at all times
Lift, carry or move items in a safe manner so as to avoid injury to self, others, structures / buildings or items.
To package items using the correct materials for the item adhering to safe storage and transportation
To create/ record inventory/ completed paperwork daily
To identify to the team leader, any items that require special attention. These can include large or bulky items, items of financial or emotional value.
Report all damages to the team leader, office, and client as soon as possible.
To load and unload any vehicles, containers or similar in the correct sequences
To use all mechanical or physical aids to move large or heavy items.
Assist with warehouse and similar duties as and when required.
Look after and keep clean all Company vehicles and equipment.

The position is Monday to Friday based on a 40hour week with a half an hour lunch break and you may be asked to work additional hours to support the business needs when required, with advanced notice. Due to the location of the position, you will require your own transport.
