Rare and exciting opportunity for a Food Service and Hospitality Supervisor to work within an established team at the world-famous Stowe School. Duties of a Food Service and Hospitality Supervisor include but are not limited to:

• Leading service on shifts, supervising front of house and ensuring standards are adhered to at all times
• Play an active role in team briefs prior to service of all pupils, parents, guests and delegates
• Oversee (being hands on when required), the preparation of all dining areas servery and event areas to ensure high standards at all times
• Lead by example, coach, mentor and encourage the team to provide an exemplary service
• Prioritise workload to ensure that all deadlines are met
• Ensure food presentation standards are met across all areas, communicating standards with the team
• Ensure all menus and POS materials are correct and displayed, to include all allergens
• Ensure all areas are kept clean and hygienic, adequately stocked and food safety standards adhered to at all times
• To be actively involved in the preparation of, and service at, School events and functions
• Liaise with School staff regarding catering requirements and use an electronic diary system for catering commitments
• Set up/provide service at additional locations throughout the School grounds using department transport
• Liaise with Executive chef regarding purchasing any Front of House items
• Reporting any breakdowns and monitoring timeline for repairs
• Monitoring of handling & storage of cleaning materials and equipment
• Uphold the Values of the Stowe Community at all times, act professionally, work together to collaboratively achieve the aims and objectives of the School
• Ad hoc duties as and when required

To be considered for this role you must:

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (it would be desirable for you to have a H&S Certificate, COSHH Certificate and Food Allergen Certificate also)
• Have previous supervisory experience (Ideally within a hospitality environment but another service industry heavily focused on customer satisfaction may be considered)
• Food service experience and an understanding of the hospitality industry
• Have an exceptional eye for detail
• Have excellent presentation and work standards
• Be a strong leader, someone who leads by example, can coach, mentor and motivate their team
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced food service environment
• Have a UK driving licence
• Be available 5 days out of 7, to include weekends and evenings on a 2 weekly rota basis
• Be adaptable and able to embrace change
